Hi, I'm looking for a 500kohm digital potentiometer, I've scoured the internet but haven't found a single one. On DigiKey it just jumps from 250kohm to 1Mohm. Is there anyway I can achieve the full 500kohm spectrum with ideally a 100kohm digital potentiometer? Thanks.

Could you just do 2 of the 250k pots in series? If you get a I2C interface it wouldn't cost you any more I/O.

As for doing the full spectrum with a 100k pot, I can't think of any topology that would give you 0 - 500k with a single 100k pot. But maybe someone else does..

Oh wait I actually found one! ONE. thank you octopart.

And thanks for the information about I2C rrpilot, I didn't know about that.

I think another solution might be to get a 1.0Mohm chip off of DigiKey and use it only halfway. But I'm afraid that will cut it's precision in half.

Looks like I'm gonna be learning SMD soldering...
