hey guys... id like to be able to power a nokia 3310 without a battery.
(LM317)
i once did it with an old phone which used a nicad battery... this one is li-ion.
the battery has 4 pins, and a + and a minus sign on either end.
3 of the pins have 3.9 volts from them to the +.
if i cover up the pin next to the pin labeled with a minus the phone will still turn on, so it only uses one "sensor pin" as ive heard it called.
apparently all li-ion batteries have a smart chip inside them.
does anyone know of an easy way to get the phone to turn on without making a pic emulate this smart chip?
dont worry about it if its not a simple fix... i could always power it through the charger input and just leave the battery in.
