Ever wonder what those nice 8x8 LED matrix displays Sparkfun sells would be like if they started animating when you pick them up?

Check out Puzzlemation. Each tile has its own power and CPU. A special "tray" downloads an animation into a set of tiles.

That's pretty cool. At first I was reminded of a product from Evil Mad Scientist, but being able to rearrange the dimensions of the display seems like a great idea. The puzzle is a nice feature, but I think just being able to rearrange the tiles adds a lot of flexibility.
