Hi,
I just got my BlueTooth DIP Module WRL-08469.

The blasted thing does not respond at all when my PIC, a Propeller (it's a 3v microcontroller) sends it commands.
I have tried +++, AT, ATI, and so on. Nothing makes it respond.

I just want to use the TX and RX to control it so I have CTS/RTS jumpered together, and Tx and Rx setup. (even tried reversing tx/rx in case that was it) at 115200 baud.
The documentation I have is:
UM_1SPP BGB203 BT 2.0 Serial Port Profile Module User’s Guide
Rev. 1.0.3 — 21 December 2005

I can 'see' it with my BT Terminal app and connect to it easily. But that's it.
Arrrg.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Joe

Ok, so the doc says the default baud is 155200.
It's not, its 9600.
works now.
Thanks anyhow :)

Yes. I caught it later. SF has programmed the modules so the module that you receive from SF is not programmed w/ 'factory defaults'. From the product description:
We have pre-programmed these units with a unique MAC address, unit name of 'SparkFun-BT', and a UART interface of 9600bps.
Good luck,

John
