I'm in the USA, I have cellular service with Sprint (who, AFAIK doesn't use SIM cards, at least not in my phones!).

I'm looking at a project that will need cellular communications. Are there vendors in the USA that offer service and SIM cards that don't cost a fortune and/or have long service agreements?

AT&T and T-Mobile both offer pre-paid service. Bare SIMs for these can be found on eBay with very good prices.
