I am implementing a ZigBee network based on CC2420 radio chips. Does anyone know if it is possible to perform energy detection scans when two devices are connected and transmitting data? In the IEEE 802.15.4 specification it states:
“During an ED scan, the MAC sublayer shall discard all frames received over the PHY data service.”
Does this mean that I run the risk of losing data packets when performing an energy detection scan?
