I am running Windows XP, with a USB Dongle (WRL-00150, also ordered here). I am trying to connect hyperterminal to my witilt 2.5. I see the menu, but when I type it is unresponsive.

Here's how far I've gotten:

I have the 4-AA battery module plugged in;
I have turned the unit on;
The status light comes on once, then goes off;
then the Bluetooth 1Hz light comes on and flashes.
If I rattle the device against something, the status ligt flashes again, and then the other light comes on again.

On the PC side, the my laptop seems to recognize the device.
I installed the drivers;
It asks for a passkey, I enter default;
A new entry appears in My Bluetooth Places\Entire Bluetooth Neighborhood, called SparkFun-BT;
I connect with hyperterminal;
I see nothing and retry a few times;
I see the menu three times;
Nothing happens when I enter any number;
I play with the device to change its position and make the lights flash as above. Still nothing.

Any ideas?

No results. Could it mean the accelerometer is broken? Is there a way to test that? I'm about ready to return this item.
