Hello.

If I want to connect the BlueSMiRF to the EM-406A, do I need external parts?
Or does it suffice to provide power, short RTS/CTS on the BlueSMiRF and connect RX to TX and TX to RX?
(Is it really that simple?)

I've successfully connected them directly. Make sure you're running the BlueSMiRF at 3.3v. Actually, I was able to run both off of a regulated 3.3v line without any problems.

Remember that the baud rate for the EM-406 and BlueSMiRF are independent of each other, and have to be in sync.
