24L01 Range

I made a link with the 24L01s and the 2.4 gig chip antennas for remote control purposes. I am only getting 60 to 80 feet with the set up. What is the range people are getting with these. I figured a range of 150 feet should have been attainable. I am only sending a few bytes in each packet.

In my old apartment, I would drop quite a few packets at even 10 feet with these units when I had my wireless router on. I have found that the range is not good at all. I converted one of my three units to use the duck antenna and RP-SMA coax connector for this reason.
