I've used the BleuSmirf with the Pin code set as 'default', but recently I noticed I was able to connect a new (not used to connect to the smirf before) laptop without it asking for a password..

I changed the pin code with the ATSP command, and also checked the security level (set to '0' Link level).

I am still able to connect to the smirf without entering a password..
I did a reset (power cycle of the module), removed the BT connections from the pc(s), but still it allows anyone to connect without asking for a password..

I am missing something here?

I don't want to enter the pin every time with the AT command, but I assume that it should ask for the password while pairing devices?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Always helps when you write ..

Used the ATCPAIR command to delete the excisting paired devices, and that worked. after removing and installing the device again on the pc(s) it asked for the correct password...
