I am trying to connect a bluedongle to a serial to a "netport" ethernet to serial converter (http://www.alphamicro.net/components/pr ... id~223.asp).

But, for some reason they are unable to talk. Can anyone offer any advice on how to debug what is going on?

Both bluedongle and netport device are configured for 9600/8N1/no flow control.

Bluedongle -> pc serial port works fine.

Netport -> pc serial port (via null modem cable) works fine.

Bluedongle -> netport and no data is ever picked up by the netport device.

If I tie tx and rx on the bluedongle, I see my data echoing back, so the ethernet device seems to be working.

My only theory is that perhaps the bluedongle (or my ethernet device) doesn't conform properly to rs232 voltages?
