I am looking to interface an embedded system with a satellite transceiver. It could have any interface, network, serial (RS232), parallel, USB etc. Please suggest any modules that I can buy. Thanks for reading!!! And I will be really glad I you provide me an input. Thanks!!!

The cheapest almost solvent satellite provider may be
http://www.orbcomm.com/
This one uses VHF (3 ft. rod antenna, usually). Low speed. You queue up your data and after some minutes, its transmitted. Used mostly for environmental monitoring, vehicle telemetery, truck tracking, etc.)

Or by "Satellite" maybe he meant one of the satellite internet service providers.
