I have both a XBee USB board with a XBee2 attached to it and a Digi Xstick. The XStick is working plug and play - it is showing up under my device manager as taking a port and XCTU recognizes it.

The USB board however is not. I have two USB boards and have tried both of them. The power LED turns on but the board is otherwise inactive. I am checking on both Device Manager and XCTU.

I am running on Windows 8.1. Does anyone have an idea to remedy this? Thanks.

Other USB ports?
Is the cable functioning correct with other devices? (power and data)
Does Windows respond at all with sound when you plug it in?

schematic shows that the Synthesized DTR signal on USB has to be in the correct state, else, the Xbee can be held in reset.
DTR is controlled by the software on the USB device- PC, whatever.

I'm curious at which schematic you are looking at. I only see Xbee reset tied to the switch. DTR goes to the sleep-request pin. Granted, which depending on the coordinator/router/endpoint mode and some other settings might look the same.
