HI Guys,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out how to build project. The idea is to make regular headphones wireless. So there would be a transmitter on the headphone output and then a reciever that the headphones plug into. This is more for mp3 players and things like that play music. Any ideas? thanks.

Hi,
if you are looking for a small form factor (read small batteries), nothing beats FM radio. Unfortunately, in the past cheap transmitters (most were based on a crappy transmitter IC from Holtek) have given the solution a bad name. More recently however, ICs have been developed with far better sound, eg the highly integrated ones from Silicon Labs. You could develop it in stages: build the transmitter first, and use an existing receiver; then build your own receiver.
For the earphone audio amp, I'd recommend class D for quality and power efficiency reasons. Plenty of ICs for that.
With the right components you can build a real tiny solution with high quality.
