I'm using a RN41 BT module for a new design. I also have an older device which uses this module and I've found that my new version has a much shorter BT range.
I've looked in the datasheet about design concerns and adjusted my design, but it still isn't good enough.
There's no copper area under the antenna, no traces or pads on the shield corners...

Does anybody have any idea on how I should increase the BT range?

I can't see how you would increase range without using a different module that supports higher power output.
