I just got my GM862 - Python and evaluation board (RS232).

Current Status:

assembled, powered and plugged, solid poer LED, blinking status LED
inability to type "AT" (or anything) into the hyperterminal prompt


Debugging Steps Taken:
altered COM1 COM2, and serial ports on tower for 4 permutations
tried power cycling module, tried bit rate suggested by telit quick start: 57600 N 1 hardware control
repeated abov 4 permutations with sparkfun suggestion for their USB development board:
9600 N 1 none (control)

I have been able to interface and send AT commands by using RealTerm, forget hyper terminal.
