I have been working with the bluesmirf module and have succesfully gotten it working. I can communicate with an ATTINY2313 processor using hyperterminal on my laptop pc.

It works very well and simply.

I would like to be able to get it talking with my Palm Tungsten E2 which has built in bluetooth, but am having problems.

I am trying to set up a serial connection using bluetooth on the E2. If i choose to Set Up Devices, it does recognize the BlueRadio device (the BlueSmirf) but it asks for a PassKey.

Does anyone know what that is?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check the Blueradio datasheet (you have to email a request for the AT command set). The default pin code/pass code is 'default' actually.
