Ok, i got the 418mhz RF-KLP and im having some trouble tuning it. the transmitter is working fine i think, using my HAM Handheld radio i found the exact frequency to be 418.075 mhz (atleast, its what i think it is, when the data pin is high i get full bars, and when its low i get zero bars)

My problem is i cant seem to get the receiver to tune into that freq, i never get a steady high ouput from it no matter where i tune it to. Ive tried with both antennas and without, the only thing i havent tried is to actually make a pcb, currently both sides of the RF link is on a breadboard, could that be causing the problem? Thanks!

Hi,

The receiver will output *all* sorts of trash, all the time. You have to write firmware to sort thru this bogus output and extract usable data.
