Hi All,

I have a question about the RF-24G. What is the maximum range at 250 kbs? On the site it says 280 meters, but i have also read that somebody only had a range of 20 meters. Does anybody has some experience with these things?
Also does anybody know which bandwith to select for the ADXL311, when using it for a RC model to measure roll-pitch?

Thanks.

Hi,

You've come across the difference between marketing people and the real world. In a perfect environment, with a hefty antenna, the IC inside the RF-24G can go up to 280m. Sure. Will you ever get this? Probably not.

We spec'd the RF-24G according to the manufacturer. We spec'd the MiRF and uMiRF according to what we experienced first hand. This has confused a lot of people, but if we're the ones building the device, we don't want to lead any of our customers on with inflated distances.
