RN131 draws 50mA sleeping

Postby thomasw71 » Sat Jan 07, 2017 12:55 pm

Hi, when running the RN131 in sleep mode Im reading 50mA of current. Ive issolated my circuit from the possible cause.
Any ideas why its drawing so much.
Im not using boost, Im only using TX RX pins.

Thanks

Data Sheet:
http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/rn-131-ds-v3.2r.pdf
says:
PIN 22 DMA-TX Debug port (apply a 100 kΩ pull down if ultra-low sleep power is required) DEFAULT:High Z

Hi, using a pull down did not work, still drawing 50mA.
When I force RESET on the module low, the power drops to around 3mA which is what I expected with the MPU running.

thanks
