Can I use EEPROM storage if i am using BLoader?

Post by scottg » Sat Dec 03, 2011 12:45 pm

I am using a PIC 16F8777A with BLoader.

If i try storing data in the EEPROM, am i going to overwrite BLoader components?

Thank you,
Scott

PICs cannot execute code out of EEPROM so BLoader has to reside in program memory (Flash) which means you have nothing to worry about. If you decide to use program memory for data storage while your program is running, then you need to take into consideration where BLoader resides in Flash memory.
