I'm new to the electronics world, and I have a question google won't answer for me.

I'm using the sound detector connected to a Teensy 3.6 Sound unit and a speaker. I have to use code that uses I2S as the communication protocol (long story). I was successful in getting the teensy to play WAV files from a mounted SD card to the speaker, but now I want to play WAV files recorded from the Sound Detector. It isn't working for me, and I suspect its to do with a misunderstanding of the hardware. My question: Is the sound detector compatible with I2S?

Thanks!

Hello and thanks for your post!

The Sound Detector has an analog output and sadly is not I2S compatible. You would need additional hardware to get this working over I2S.
