Hello,
I was looking at this programmer: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc ... ts_id=7834

Is this compatible with the JTAG interface on the beagleboard? The beagleboard says 1.8v JTAG, and the programmer says 2-5v.

Ask Olimex, they should be able to tell you if it is compatible.

I've been using a Flyswatter, which uses board-specific adapters. There's one for the BeagleBoard. It's a very nice little debug/pgm board and the use of adapters makes it a lot more versatile than most others. http://tincantools.com/product.php?prod ... 255&page=1 It's pretty easy make your own adapters as well.
