Dear all,

as of today I have a Red Board Qwiic https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15123 and plugged it up to my laptop using a USB cable that seemed to install nicely. When I Upload in Arduino 1.8.9 it uploads the files correcly and also does as intended (e.g. blinks LED when loading the BLINK example). But then, no matter which program I upload or from which USB Port, reading on-chip flash data fails:

avrdude: reading on-chip flash data:

Reading | avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
############avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avr_read(): error reading address 0x0000

Full log below, thanks in advance :)

Hi CovarianceUnion.

Hmmm..
It sounds like you might have a bad USB to serial chip on your RedBoard Qwiic.
Can you fill out the form on this page and include a link back to this forum post so that we can look into this further? I'm sure we can get this working for you!
