It should be able to charge that battery, the trouble will be that the max charge current with the max1555 is 280 ma. 6600 mah/280 ma = 23.57 hrs.

I have to use pullups for the library that I currently use. I only have them on the SDI and SDO lines though.

@rf333 Sweet board! Can I ask about your thru hole plating setup? I looked at a couple of different options but just couldn't justify the additional cost and pain in the but off the palladium and thp setup. Can you elaborate on what you are planning to do for this?

Don't forget to tie VBackup to VCC. It will not work if you do not it tied to a voltage source.

you should checkout www.bigredbee.com they do this kind of thing for really high powered rockets all the time.

rf333. I would definitely recommend this machine! I almost bought one but got an epilog laser instead. The big thing about this process is the thru hole plating you will need to do to get your boards with two-sided tracing. you can got to my blog www.ohararp.com/blog and look at the March 17, 2008 p...

You should drop me a line. I would trade some of the MAX7219's and the backpcks for some arduino code. The idea with this design was to make a very simple 5 pin interface to a matrix of LEDs.

This VCP is free from lantronix and makes the serial port connection easy. It is very reliable.

Why not use an embedded ethernet solution like the xport at one end and plugging into the ethernet jack of your pc/laptop? This solution is definitely power hungry though and a bit more expensive.

Using a pan method or toaster oven is so easy! I bought a laser to make cases and stencils for myself and now offer this service to others as well. We charge a flat rate for single or multiple designs that are 12"x12" or less. We just require the smt masks to be in one file, if you require more than...

So I have put together many a board using both the hot plate an toaster oven methods. I have found that the temp reflow control is jut overkill and not worth the trouble. I have a $60 oven from Target that works great! It even has a glass window in the top so that I can look down on the boards and s...
