GE8 doesn't support 8-bit mode
several customers of ours reported that they use Tiny and Iso with MSPGCC but we never try, you can ask on MSPGCC list or look at this list archives there should be postings how to set the enviroment
this is very good idea.

if you install the software which comes with the CD this is very unlickely to happend
the software on CD have descriptions for both ARM-USB-OCD and ARM-USB-TINY and windows will install the drivers without any "manual" work
why don't you read what to do from the how to install .txt in our MSP430-JTAG-TINY zip with the drivers?
tip: the new EW-MSP430 have Olimex JTAG option to select.
