Re: Order out of order?

@blackfin: I forgot to mention that. I ordered 2, got 4. That fact alone convinced me to give BatchPCB another try. I had a few problems with mine however, namely there was some jacked up soldermask on two of the boards, almost as if someone spilled it on the board or something. It didn't cover anyt...

Re: Order out of order?

Thanks for the reply. I had read that some do ship out of order, but mine was like 20 something panels before the one that "last shipped" so i thought that might be off or something (2 or 2 off I could understand). I ended up actually receiving my boards about 3 days after i posted this, so they DO ...

Order out of order?

I know this has already been covered at least once, but I think it would be nice if you guys could give better order update notices. My boards are on panel 1245, which was sent out for "Processing" on the 24th of January. It's been over 30 days (23 business days as of today) Since it was processing,...

Re: Thin PCB prototyping

you may also want to try PCBcart.com. They do all different sizes of boards, and are relatively cheap as well, although they kinda get you in shipping (international priority fedex that comes in like 3 days).

Automatic car door lock based on vehicle speed

My coworker has a Toyota Rav4, and she asked if there was a way to have the door locks lock when the vehicle is in motion. My BMW 335 does this, but apparently toyotas do not. The only way I can think to add this would be a microcontroller, such as the Attiny13 that measures the voltage coming from ...

Re: extra silkscreen text 'ace17'

If this is true, I may return my boards and ask for a refund, and not place future orders. Nowhere does it say during ordering process that boards will be marked, and I certainly do not need anyone's QC stamp on my boards. This was not mentioned during ordering, and ammounts to SF's supplier defacin...

Re: How to keep DRC limited to the outline of my board?

I found this, viewtopic.php?t=8949 which seems to clear this up, Guess I'll edit my silkscreen layer.

How to keep DRC limited to the outline of my board?

I ran a design through the DRC, and while it passed, the vertical size is off, because of a silk screen component going off the edge (SMA connector). I submitted my design with an outline layer, hoping it would stick to the dimensions of this layer, but it won't. anyway to fix this? http://i55.tinyp...

BatchPCB design differences from supplier Gold pheonix?

Does BatchPCB have a special deal with GP? the reason I ask, is that after looking at BatchPCB's design limits, which they quote is from the manufacturer, they don't match up with what GoldPhoenix is able to make. AS an example, BatchPCB says they can only accept holes that are 0.5mm for a 2 layer b...

Re: How to detect car

Garage Doors work based on light.. you have an infrared beam that is focused to a mirror on the other side of the garage, which gets bounced back into a detector above/below the infrared light source. its basically an optical switch. IED's are starting to be produced this way unfortunately as well. ...

Question about parts on an evaluation schematic

I looked at the evaluation schematic in the data-sheet for the National Semi LMX9838 blue-tooth module. I can figure out most of the parts in it, but am curious as to the ones in the attached shot below. I've tried googling for them but of course I end up getting nanometers for lasers. http://i54.ti...
