Hey guys, Morcheeba - awesome set of photos to give people an idea of what pitfalls the route may hold. Someone should add a 'snow' set. Couple things: 1) Please register. The $30 is a double action thing. It allows us to know how many people will be attending so that we can plan for things like chi...

This community never fails to surprise me. Very sorry seravitae - I did not mean to insult. It's customers like you that get things changed for the better. I'll talk to Sallie and Brennen here at SparkFun to see if we can't get some changes made. 1) Customer order cancel - once the order is panelize...

Hi all, Hey David - this is a question for you as well so please chime in. It's post like this one : http://forum.sparkfun.com/viewtopic.php?t=9606 that kill us. We're trying to keep the good times alive. Right now we are receiving drill files of all walks of life. 20-40% of orders have a problem wi...

Let me explain, I, Nathan, oversee SparkFun and BatchPCB. SparkFun is huge and is getting huger (yes, grammar). BatchPCB continues to be a painful thorn as it can't get big enough to deserve the attention that you guys need. We run it only as a service for customers who need very cheap PCB service. ...

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I am not the BatchPCB person. I can't look up orders. Please email support@batchpcb.com and include your order number in the subject so it doesn't get caught by our spam filters.

Hi seravitae, We can't find your order based on the info in your post. Do you have an order ID we can look up? If your order was on panel 152 or panel 153, both have now mailed. They are a bit behind schedule, but nothing terrible. Even the oldest order was ordered on January 11 which makes 22 busin...

Hey Mctylr,

Sorry for the delay. The BatchPCB person is out sick today. We hope to be back at full force tomorrow. I'll pass along your email address.

Sorry about that! It's an osCommerce thing. We have to manually click on a button to do the currency rate update. I can't remember the last time it was done (months ago) and the exchange rates have been pretty volatile as of late.

Should be fixed now.

Hey SnarkyFish, It's all to avoid bus contention. The Arduino board has the ATmega UART wired to the FT232RL for programming/debugging. If we were to connect the BlueSMiRF to the UART as well, it would be bad - the FT232RL would try to control the RX line at the same time the BlueSMiRF was trying to...

SMD boards are not *that* difficult. We solder everything by hand for protos. Even really small 0.5mm pitch stuff. Just takes practice. Stencils help a lot, but they are not manditory like many people believe. Now if you're talking about production - they're a must have. Saves tons of time. If you'r...

Hey all, Just an FYI. BatchPCB is going through some major changes. David Carne is now on the SFE team and has skillfully managed to re-write and re-automate the DRC bot. We now have better control over DRC so we should be able to iron out the DRC glitches as they hit. That said, the site with new D...

Hi Kam,

I've used the DOSonCHIP IC with great success. But it was a painful start. I recommend the simple RS232->UART test to get the unit up and running. Be sure to tie CTS ground. Hit enter twice and you should see the '>' prompt.

Hey Bill and others, I was talking to one of my coworkers here at SFE inquiring into how to limit the spammers. He mentioned that all the forums he ever joined were basically spam-fests... except for the ones he had to pay for. Hmmm. I don't suggest we start a cover charge at the door, but is there ...
