WiFly GSX 802.11b/g Serial Module

Hi, is there any reason why the "WiFly GSX 802.11b/g Serial Module - Roving Networks" could not wirelessly interface with an iPhone over the WiFi interface? Looking to make something akin to a wireless sensor read by an iPhone custom application. From the data sheet, it seems like this product suppo...

Lots. WizNet 812MJ. Lantronix Moxa ConnectOne But what does 802.11 do for you re a phone interface? The phone supports 3G, so it can have a data connection while using other types of comm. like WiFi. Just looking for a way to connect to other serial port devices without needing the certification fo...

inexpensive WiFi interface module?

Hi, I need to interface a serial device to a mobile phone. Interfacing with either BT or a serial/USB cable is next to impossible to me because I'd have to be a licensed and certified company willing to shell out $$ for the rights to the sw frameworks. All I am trying to do is a proof-of-concept pro...

accessing the Sparkfun magnetic card reader (all tracks)

Hi I've purchased the Magnetic Card Reader (sku: SEN-08633) which issupposed to read all 3 tracks. The unit is called an Apollo AP-MSR200. While it works at the specified baud rate, how do you read data which is stored on more than one track? There is no manual other than a simple data sheet which j...

rs232 levels

Right, but there are various levels for true RS232, they range from +/- 3 to 15 volts. What I need to know is what is the supply voltage for this device? TTL type power - like 5 vdc, or what? Some rs232 devices have signals which operate in the TTL ranges of 0-5 vdc as well. This information is miss...

question about the Apollo magnetic card reader

Hi, I looked at the datasheet for your Apollo AP-MSR200 magnetic card reader, but cannot find which voltages this unit uses on its RS-232 interface. I am not planning on using this with a PC serial port, but a special port which requires 3.3 vdc signalling. Also what is the minimal power supply volt...

problems with Sparkfun dongle on laptop - bt license check

Hi, I have a BT dongle from Sparkfun. I thought I ran the installer off the mini-cd they sent with the device. I am trying to get this working on a Dell laptop (Latitude) running XP. Each time I try to use BT (like "Find Bluetooth devices"), I get an error: "Bluetooth license check failed. Please ma...

Question on Hantouch HT043A-NCOFD52

Hi,

anyone played with this touch panel overlay? I was wondering if anyone knows if 4-wire resistive can support multitouch, or do you have to use optical touch panels for that?

thanks

how to fully reset a bluesmirf - to get passkey reset

Hi,

my bluesmirf passkey got messed up somehow when I was trying to change it. Now I cannot log on using Zterm. Is there a way to force a hw reset?

The silkscreening on the solder side of this bluesmirf is not very good, can hardly read it.

thanks!

BlueSmirf usage questions

Hi, just got a BlueSmirf and have connected to a Roomba. First, I noted that I can't seem to connect to it using my Mac which only has Panther OS 10.3.9 - there must be a limitation on the Mac's BT implementation. You can't type any aphanumerics for the PassKey (only digits). The BlueSmirf uses "def...
