Re: Problems with Arduio and l298 with 2dc motors

Yes I see what you are saying, and understand what you mean. But now we have to put it on hold for a bit. We had a small opps. My grandson ran a jumper from the 5v from the Arduino and instead of going to the blue 5 volt on the L298 he put it on the blue " + " from the large battery pack. A puff of...

What L298 board are you using? Can you upload a schematic?

Re: General Questions about an Arduino

Echo theropod's answer. If you haven't found it already, search for Hall Effect (if you use your own magnets) or Rotary Encoder (if you just want to attach to an output shaft) for your RPM sensor to drive your feedback loop. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9312 https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10...

Re: Sound Clock

A rough order of magnitude (ROM) of a 4 KHz signal sampled would be (4k x 2 Nyquist x 12 files x 5 sec) or 480KB (assuming 8 bit DAC) before compression so you will likely need a MCU card that has an SD card port. A 4 Khz 8 bit signal is decidedly Lo-Fi so scale appropriately. If you are looking for...

Re: Sound Clock

You could add this module to any microcontroller

Re: GetImage from GT-511C3 Fingerprint Scanner in Arduino/Teensy

getImage appears to be eight bits deep (258 row x 202 col, or vice versa) - Try http://matplotlib.org/ (Python) or similar image processing S/W to plot it out.

Re: ZX Distance and Gesture Sensor I2C Address Manipulation

If the reprogramming answer is no, you might try this as a solution: Qwiic Mux https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14293 There are other like solutions out there using the TCA9544A Low Voltage 4-Channel I2C and SMBus Multiplexer that are less elaborate or you could roll your own. http://www.ti.com/pro...

Gear motors to use with Circular Chassis and Encoders

In the Black Monday frenzy I purchased some Circular Robotics Chassis ROB-14339 and Right Angle Gear motors ROB-13258 along with ROB-12629 Hall Effect encoders for my robotics/STEM course I am teaching. Clearly the right angle motors will not fit the chassis without more modification or mount purcha...
