Re: New forum color scheme

Hate it. Hate the color scheme. Hate the how fine the topics have been divided up. Bring back the old or something that is does not waste my time searching for new posts and searching multiple topics to see if I'm interested. Probably will just ignore the forum if this stands.

Following up on my previous post... also look at figure 11 where reset is used to sequence only a subset of the 10 outputs. In your case 3 for equal on times.

Seems to me that you could adapt a simple circuit like this (see figures 6-7) here-> http://www.nutsvolts.com/magazine/article/led-chaser-sequencer-circuits without using a micro. Simply connect the GRN led to outputs 0-3, YEL led to 4-5, and RED led to 6-9 (or some combination that results in the r...

I've used a PIR motion sensor with the WAV Trigger board controlled by a Mega (Uno would work too). One of the things I ran into was an annoying re-trigger behavior of the PIR sensor. As a result I ended up using a version of this code (https://playground.arduino.cc/Code/PIRsense) which forces a del...

From the MP3 Trigger Hookup Guide on the Sparkfun site...

Basic Operation
Simply drag and drop the desired MP3 files into the root directory of a FAT32 or FAT16 formatted microSD flash card using a PC.

Re: Wav Trigger Serial control with arduino nOOb question

On the Mega I use AltSoftSerial to control the WAV Trigger serially as follows... #include <AltSoftSerial.h> // AltSoftSerial uses Arduino Mega 2560 pins 48 RX and 46 TX connected the the WAV Trigger TX and RX respectively. Not sure what else you are looking for exactly beyond the example sketch for...

Perhaps you can share a bit more about the circuit board the you are trying to create to help the forum understand what the "real world" trigger is. That is, a final stage that swings a voltage from GND to 5V should be easy but what is the stimulus or logic that causes the need to trigger the WAV tr...

I stand corrected. As I said I've not interfaced with the WAV Trigger in that configuration. Everything I do is though the serial interface.

Well damn you paulvha (just kidding) you beat me to it. Must be a time zone time. Yes that will work. I had just this morning (PST) finished my version (very similar) and was about to post when I saw this. The difficult part was trying to understand what Ardalan wanted. Once he described it in full ...

OK, so what may be happening is that once you enter the <50 state you are toggling your state variable at a rate roughly equivalent to 500ms delay and driving your on/off LED accordingly. If you want to slow down the toggle than yes, adjust the delay. But to me that may not be the behavior you reall...

Perhaps this will help me understand your desired behavior... Assuming currentState is initialized to 0, what would be the expected values of currentState (abbv. CS in the table below) for each read of distance: Of course Last CS will = New CS of any prior read. [Read],Distance < 50],[Last CS],[New ...

Need some clarification... You say I want to toggle "currentState" between 0 and 1 for every 1 time distance becomes less than 50. Do you mean if it's less than 50 on any read, then toggle currentState. Or to you mean toggle currentState when less than 50 if and only if the prior read was not less t...
