Re: Simultaneous RFID Reader Communication Problem

I have a question related to this thread. I too am using the RFID product mentioned in this thread only I am using a Particle Electron with the logic level shifter 4 channel breakout sold on SFE. It works fine I suppose. Question 1. Without voltage applied to the Arduino and only 3.3V applied to the...

Re: M6E-Nano and Photon Red Board (Which Serial)

I would also like to acknowledge that mixing RF could cause for disaster but I will be using an external antenna for the RFID so hopefully this mitigates some (if not all of the potentials) of error this may cause.

Re: M6E-Nano and Photon Red Board (Which Serial)

So I edited the SF Example .ino for the Photon and compiled without error. The Photon accepts it and then shortly after reseting it goes into Cloud Not Connect Mode (SOLID GREEN RGB). Code: #include "UHF_RFID_Reader.h" //Library for controlling the M6E Nano module RFID nano; //Create instance // #de...

Re: M6E-Nano and Photon Red Board (Which Serial)

I thought I should also mention here that the Photon RedBoard does not like when you plug a LiPo in the spot provided on the RFID shield. It seems to make the RGB glow red then shut off.

M6E-Nano and Photon Red Board (Which Serial)

Greetings all, I am working on something interesting here with the M6E-Nano and thought why not try to integrate with a Particle Device? It just so happens that I had a Sparkfun Photon RedBoard Laying around which is swell because the RFID shield fits just right! I did a little digging through the d...

SMD LEDs & SMD Resistor values

Greetings, I have been playing with circuits now for a bit and usually that means LEDs of the 5mm variant. I have been dying to try out make reflow gear so I have been making some PCB designs for SMD types of parts. Now, I have looked over a couple schematics found on various products that feature S...

Re: MCP23017 BOB - check this over for errors/quality?

Yes mounting holes are good. I am working a fresh board and that will be included for sure.

Now can anyone speak about my placement of capacitors and values of such?

MCP23017 BOB - check this over for errors/quality?

Greetings Sparkfun Fanatics!, I have been working quite a bit on making a breakout for the MCP23017. I do this with all my projects. I start on the breadboard then once I get bored of all the wires I solidify my learning projects by designing a proto in EagleCad and send it in to OSHPark for product...
