Re: embARC with OpenOCD over Digilent USB-JTAG

I have encountered some open-ocd distros that were compiled without the ftdi option.
Check that your usr/local/share/openocd/scripts/interface has a ftdi directory.

Re: Can OpenOCD debug several board at the same time?

Warning! I have never tried this so let me know if it works. First of all it is easy to set up a usb device if you know what it's PID/VID numbers are and there is only one plugged in. You have two so that you will have to research and find out how to tell openocd to use one particular interface. You...

I have been using an olimex ARM-USB-OCD-H from my linux box to program fpgas. I bought a RaspberryPi and was able to run openOCD on that to program using the olimex as well. There are several fpga boards available for the RaspberryPi and some are as low as $35. I am considering doing an opensource h...

I would like to start a discussion on design entry toolflows for fpgas and asics. I know that there was a previous discussion here that centred on HDL v Schematic but I think it missed point. Any entry method must eventually deliver an hdl net list and whether you write the code in hdl or enter it v...

Returning Data from svf player

I am using an olimex arm-usb-ocd-h connected to a Digilent Nexys2 board to program the fpga and then access the USER jtag registers using openocd. Is there any way to have the svf player display the data returned with each jtag access? I can use the expected value set wrong to get and error message ...
