Currency converter menu has disappeared?
I just noticed today that the currency menu at the top right of the site is missing. I checked in both Chrome and Firefox, and it was absent in both. (IE didn't load the site at all for some reason.) Is this a bug, or a deliberate removal?

You may find the information in this project quite helpful.

Re: game sensor
How big are the beanbags relative to the holes? Because if they're not too much smaller than the holes, you could just use infrared break-beam sensors across the diameters of the holes. Or, even simpler, just put a backboard behind the holes and detect impact with a switch.

Re: Project....Impact Box
I think a BBB may be a bit overkill for this. Any suitable microcontroller + accelerometer + ESP8266 + any cellular board (e.g. SparkFun Cellular Shield , Adafruit Fona, Konekt Dash) should do, right? Also, the Dash (and probably the ESP8266 too) has enough processing power to not require any other ...

I did. I see this thread now; I guess that's why.

Re: Micro Heating Pad
Coin cells tend to have pretty high internal resistance, so they might not be able to supply enough current. Just something to keep in mind. (Maybe one of the thin rechargeable batteries would be better.)

International: USPS shipping not available?
The Shipping Policy says: United States Postal Service USPS Express Mail International - usually 5-10 business days. Trackable. Only allowed for orders up to $300 in value. Delivery is made by the destination country’s postal service. USPS First Class Mail International - usually 2-4 weeks, but can ...

Re: Help finding a device that can be used as selector/switc
Would you happen to know if there are any rotary encoders with a switch that is not push but rather twist? I was trying to make it so the user only had to turn the dial to turn it on/off instead of pressing it. I don't think those exist. The point of rotary encoders (why they're used instead of pot...

Re: Small fast and torquey motors
I have seen a video on YouTube of larger stepper motor (a standard NEMA one like you'd use on a 3D printer, IIRC) being driven up to ~9000 RPM using some particular kind of driver. I'm not sure a stepper would fit your requirements otherwise, though.

Re: Thumbnails / Lightbox Modal Bug
I'm still seeing the same behavior. I also don't like how it automatically advances because it often does so while I'm examining details.

Discontinuation Notification
It would be nice if, when a product is going to be discontinued soon, you could send a notification to everyone who has it on a wishlist so that they know they need to order it soon. I missed out on getting a PRT-08887 (ProtoBoard - Triangle Shape) , which I'd wishlisted for a small project, because...

Re: Position of a smart phone accurate to a meter and indoor
This system uses visual markers that are detected by the phone's camera. It looks to be quite good, but it's on Kickstarter and it's not doing very well funding-wise.

The SparkFun Indoor Curling Kit (SICK) hovercraft might give you a rough idea of the blower's pressure.
