Re: How to find out my Geiger Counter's firmware version ?

Hey again.

JTAG is the way to go. The firmware can be found here as hex files: https://github.com/a1ronzo/SparkFun-Gei ... its/master

You can also use another Arduino to upload the firmware as well: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/in ... bootloader

Re: How to find out my Geiger Counter's firmware version ?

Greetings.

We should be shipping these with the v12 firmware. The only way to tell what firmware is on the device is to play with it and see how it behaves.

You can always just re-upload whichever firmware you would want on the device as well.

Re: old redbot and D12 button

Hello.

I do not think that the D12 pin is actually broken out on the Redbot mainboard itself. The only thing I can recommend is soldering a button directly to the D12 pin on the Atmega328 if this is what you require. It will not be easy.

Sorry about that.

Re: BlueSmiRF issue

Hello. Have you perhaps bricked the module itself somehow? You have not been trying to configure the module itself right? It could be possible that the module malfunctioned due to ESD or perhaps it simply failed. If you are still having this problem you may contact techsupport@sparkfun.com for addit...

Re: IOIO vs Teensy for just 1 PIR

Hello. As far as I know either the Teensy or IOIO are capable of accepting the signal from the alarm pin on our PIR sensor. The IOIO is specifically designed to easily interface with an Android where the Teensy might need some extra work. The Teensy is also cheaper. I do not see why either device wo...

Re: IOIO OTG doesn't work

Hmmm. I am not entirely sure what the problem could be.

We can issue a RMA and get the IOIO back for testing if you like. Send an E-mail to techsupport@sparkfun.com and we will take care of it.

Re: BigEasyDriver at slow speeds

Hello. One of our engineers actually created example code for the Autodriver that is very similar to what you are trying to do with the BigEasyDriver: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/getting-started-with-the-autodriver/all He notes on the example section in the code: "In a more general sense, i...

Re: IOIO OTG doesn't work

Hello. Sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing with the IOIO. Could you tell me what you are powering the IOIO with? Perhaps the IOIO is not getting enough power and is shutting down. Definitely check the following page out: https://github.com/ytai/ioio/wiki/Power-Supply-OTG Also, please gi...

Re: Live feed onto dress?

Hello! I think what you are really looking for is an LED fabric: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4JFyVchss8 I am very unfamiliar with this type of product so I am uncertain what the current consumption and voltage requirements are. Chances are the LEDs will communicate via I2c or a single wire inte...

Greetings, Hmm. I am not entirely sure what the issue is. File sizes is certainly a good assumption. Have you tried contacting Robertsonics? Re: Unable to program RedBot mainboard

Hello. Hmm... If I had to take a guess I would say that the bootloader was not uploaded to these chips. I would consider it a rare instance that this would happen, however, it can happen. There is a possibility that we could have populated the board with components that were placed backwards like th...

Re: VS1101e-1 Breakout board, OpenLog, and Arduino Uno

Yeah, the Openlog is simply just a datalogger. Even though it has an Atmega328 on-board and in theory you can do so much more with the device it is designed for one task really. If you are trying to play audio files off of a SD card and want tomething small and cheap I recommend checking out the Aud...

Re: help: Fingerprint Scanner GT-511C3 can get live image ?

Hey again.

I seemed to overlook this feature. Yes, the get live image button in the software should allow you to do just that. I have not tested this myself, however, I can give it a go and report back if you like.
