I have a sparkfun razor board, what the format it outputs? I want to port the Razor AHRS software to C# so I can use it with a Android phone for this project https://github.com/AndersMalmgren/FreePIE I'm guessing they are avoding floats because of the 8 bit restriction of the CPU How can I convert t...

Finally got a port to compile, but for some reason the Yaw is not responding, instead roll or pitch is mapped to the Yaw axis (I do not know which side on the card is pitch and which is roll) Heres a youtube clip showing the output http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BxxYVEs7rw And here is my converted ...

I would like to try this lib and see if it can help with my drift problem

http://n0m1.com/2012/02/27/6dof-arduino ... lerometer/

But its written for the MMA8453 accelerometer, I tried to port it to ADXL345 but i'm too new to Cpp and Arduino, someone else wanna give it a shot?

Please check my little youtube clip, I move the device two times during the video, you can easily identify them, please watch the huge amount of drift each time i move it.

This is done compiling FreeImu using the FreeIMU v0.1 constant in the FreeImu.h

Thanks for fast response! :D I've loaded the example to the arduino,The one that sends on this format Yaw: -130.96 Pitch: 10.17 Roll: -36.87 I use FreeIMU v0.1version of the lib by the way (The other versions make it behave really strange btw) I then change to myPort = new Serial(this, "COM3", 11520...

@SparkfunSweden I would suggest to use the Processing sketches available in the FreeIMU library to check the correctness of your setup. Once that checks out you'll have to sort out the problems in your 3d application. It looks to me that you have to much sensitivity, I mean in the video you only ro...

It was a softwareproblem on the PC side, I read the values from the com port and wrote the values to the shared memory that the game reads in the same thread, if i moved the reading from com to a seperate thread it worked! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKu1BgPYhrg I stil have todo some more testing...

Thanks for all your hard work fax! I have some huge drift on the Yaw axis, is it because I compile for the 1.0 version of the board, are there differences in the number of sensors used between the versions? If i lay down the board on a flat surface it drifts several degrees before settling down (It ...

Hi guys. I have downloaded this copy of the FreeIMU library http://www.varesano.net/files/libraries_20111205_2110.zip And i've included all the libs that the compiler complains about. Now my sketch file looks like this #include <ITG3200.h> #include <MS561101BA.h> #include <HMC58X3.h> #include <bma18...

It was a production quality problem, the cable socket had lots of remains from the casting which made the socket unable to connect properly. I will get a new one from my distributor.

More problems, when i connect the usb cable to the computer windows does not detect a new devuce and i cant measure any voltage on the vcc pin, the strange thing is that the vcc should be a straight connection from the usb ports 5v pin.. any ways, its probably a faulty cable?

I got an answer from Sparkfun The I/O on that cable is 3.3V, but the VCC pin is 5V. The microcontroller on the board can handle 5V just fine, but I don't think the sensors can. If you connect this directly to the FTDI port on the board you will most likely fry one or more of the sensors. If you plug...
