Re: Nokia breakout: inductor very hot

So I have had this board sat in a box I ordered for all these years.... Finally had a use for it and dug it out. I now have a massive burn on my thumb. Thanks Sparkfun! It's pretty damn painful and I thought I had fried the board connecting it up wrong, did some searching on Sparkfun for this board ...

Re: Single voltage low power Memory LCD

From the way I read it you can back light them as with normal LCDs.
Maybe they have different models for back light or transflective? Either way, pretty darn cool display.

Re: Radio Receiver modules

Any link to where to buy them?

Almost all the DAB modules I found are "full" radios with button inputs and screen outputs rather than a controller interface.

Radio Receiver modules

No FM receiver? Something with uart or i2c/spi control and stereo audio out would be nice. Maybe even support RDS for clock setting and station names. Sparkfun USED to sell one! sku WRL-08770 DAB module? I know this would be much more complex and expensive, but it would be nice to have the option if...

Big 3D flatscreens are about the ONLY news.

Oh, and loads of eReaders, and thanks to Apple loads of crappy tablets.

Still, I do want a 57" 9mm thick LED samsung 3D tv!

Id like to shortcut this process by simply connecting my solar cell (5v in good light) directly to the sparkfun LiPo charger. Two questions, 1) would I still need a protection diode in line with the cell or would the liPo charger take care of that? 2) Would I need an off switch in line with the cell...

Solar charging the LiPo cell and charger

I have the older Sparkfun LiPo battery (without protection chip) and charger board. I also have a Solar cell that can get up to 5v in good light. My plan is to directly attach the solar cell to the 5V input on the charger board. I am worried about power flowing back through the cell when dark howeve...

I of course did manual reset, I get the errors during the program sequence, it just keeps repeating memory address ranges over and over then gives timeouts and things.
