Re: How to get the IP address of the WiFly module?

Sorry, "get ip" indeed works. I was doing "show ip", which does return a 4 digit number

How to get the IP address of the WiFly module?

Hello, I am using the RN-131 module ( http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Wireless/WiFi/WiFlyGSX-um2.pdf ). Is there a command to get the IP address of the module. I know I can do a "get everything" command, which returns everything and parse, but I am looking for something more concise. I've also tr...

I actually got it working. It's not connected to Arduino. It's connected to the Robot Kit from tinyclr.com and is running on the .NET Micro Framework. Here is the video of the final product.

How do I respond to an HTTP request with a WiFly board?

I am able to read an HTTP request and now I want to respond to it. From what I understand, after sending back a response (e.g. HTTP headers and an HTML page), I am supposed to close the TCP connection. Do I drop into command mode, manually close the connection and then back to data mode? Or is there...

Re: Help with comment WiFly board to my WiFi network

Ok, the good news is that I got it working. First, I happened upon a fella with a similar problem ( http://forum.sparkfun.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=24408 ), who suggested that bad grounding on the WiFly cards cause RF interference. So I moved the WiFly card as far away from the parent device as I cou...

Re: Help with comment WiFly board to my WiFi network

So I checked the router and, no, it does not show the WiFly module as being connected. I also checked the router logs, but it only shows incoming and outgoing data requests, not connection requests, so nothing from the WiFly module. One thing that I don't get is why I am getting an authorization err...

Re: Help with comment WiFly board to my WiFi network

The "Open" implies there is no password/phrase required. Correct. As I mentioned I tried it with security and without. All the logs I posted were tried when I turned off security on the router. Is there MAC-based access control in use on your Access Point? No. Does your router list the WiFly module...

Help with comment WiFly board to my WiFi network

I am having trouble connecting the WiFly board to local WiFi network. I've tried it with security turned on (WPA2) and with it turned off, I keep getting Disconn from acumen4,AUTH-ERR . I am hoping someone can spot something. Here are results of a scan: SCAN:Found 1 Num SSID Ch RSSI Sec MAC Address ...
