Actually i2c is supposed to be supported by the TFMini plus. The support documents have been updated to document the i2c support. However I haven't yet found the time yet to try to build test code yet and haven't found it on the internet yet.

I know what you mean. I was hoping to just reuse my rover from last year. Now I have to do some work! ;)

For reference, my 1/5th scale could push the hoop around the course and even turn corners dragging it, but I wouldn't count on that working every time. :D I believe even for an rock climbing truck at like 1/10th scale the wall is not passable. I used brute force to ramp over it, but it was very risk...

Re: AVC 2018... with aerial competition?

The 2017 Sparkfun AVC was held at the Denver Maker faire, and given the turnout (especially for combat bots) I'd think they will have it at the same venue again this year. There are many more concerns then just 107 when it comes to drones, and I'm willing to bet they aren't willing to tackle all the...

go visit for some information on building a donkey car or other suggested rovers there. Then look at at his previous posts about his rover databus. Those will hopefully get you started. Sensors go from the very simple, to scanning lidar units and...

Thanks for the break down. I'm not sure exactly how the score broke down, because I avoided the hoop and ramp. I was under the impression my score was 465 after the first heat. It got a little shaky after that, because I never saw my score after second heat. Issues with wifi meant the scores were no...

So, if my bot "tags" your bot hard enough so you cannot move, I win? It's an interesting idea. To me, you need to have some way of finding the other bot. So mandate some type of tag/color rectangle of a certain size that must be on all 4 sides of the bot? (Provided by host of event) How do you...

since no one else has responded, I'll take a guess at it... The 1440W restriction was due to the connection with Power Racing Series, which is their limit. So, if the rules don't specifically state it, I'm sure you should be fine with more. That being said, don't go too crazy.. I doubt the winners w...

If you are really worried about security you'll have to have someone else watch your stuff. Get to know the people at the tables near you..or/and bring someone along. I never have had issues, don't know of anyone that has. Couple words of warning. If you come on Friday for testing, do not expect to ...
