Re: First Board Design Attempt - Feedback appreciated

In the schematic I like put bypass cap near from target device, so I have a reference every time I lock it, so I like add some tags in the schematic like: 1. This route shorter, for a a couple of AGND for example 2. G = R1/R2, thermal dependent so R1/R2 closer,,, don't abuse but some of comments are...

Re: Signals connection when there's no current?

I can't get the focus here, why are you worry about current ? there are a voltage difference, fem, between metal-metal connection, the current is V/R... anyway the fem will be much lower than the voltage signal level.

Re: Crystals, oscillators and resonators

For some model you can use external clock source and async mode for capture functions, how much resolution do you want ?

Re: Convert a string or int into a byte on a PIC WEB

n (integer decimal number) = bm * 2^m + bm-1 * 2^m-1 + .... b3 *2 ^3 + b2 * 2^2 + b1 * 2^1 + b0

b0 = n%2
b1 = (n/2)%2
b2 = (n/4)%2
b3 = (n/8)%2
...
...
until n/2^x = 0

------
sscanf(string",%d", &a_number)

Best regards.

Are you getting this error when you try debug ?

Re: Crystals, oscillators and resonators

I can't figure out how to measure 10MHz frequency with reasonable resolution using MSP uC, without using any external support 1. Crystal, usually yo can get if in very wide frequency range, 32768Hz is the most used over MSP430 2. Ceramic are cheaper than crystal, but only appreciated for mass produc...

Re: Which PIC to start with?

(sorry my English) Its all depend where your focus is, Hardware or software, or both, my recommendation is start with a pic18f452 and PICKIT3, and I'll tell you why, at the beginning you should learn a bit of digital/analog hardware design, with a DIP chip you will be enable to do measurement, add c...

Custom LCD, how to created mylcd.lcd ? (iar)

For simulated a dumb crystal LCD panel IAR has two option: 1. lcd7seg.lcd 2. lcd14seg.lcd I was looking for information how to generate a myownlcd.lcd for a custom LCD. Any other tools for sumulation before send to production line a custom LDC? By the way any one knows about a company for a low volu...
