Hello Everyone, I'll be having a workshop at my local university on the possibilities of wearable computing / e-textiles / Lilypad/Flora... I have collected some examples of projects using such technologies, however I'm looking for more examples. So, if you would have to produce a "wow" effect in yo...

FreeIMU software is an outgrowth of the 6DOF software you linked to in the OP No it's not. The FreeIMU library uses a completely different algorithm than the one used in the 6DOF post. FreeIMU library implement a complete AHRS filter including other handy functions for quaternions/angles translatio...

1) you still may have some problem on your sensors axis in the software. The FreeIMU library expect them to be all aligned for all the sensors as in my FreeIMU boards. Check with the sensors' datasheets and phisical placement in the board the correct alignment. Future versions of the FreeIMU library...

Both the FreeIMU_cube and FreeIMU_yaw_pitcch_roll Processing sketches needs the FreeIMU_quaternion Arduino program loaded on the board.

Check that the serial monitor is set to the same Serial port speed as the one used in the yaw_pitch_roll program.

@Philba you may want to subscribe to the Arduino developers mailing list.. all the changes to the APIs and core libraries are discussed there.. maybe you can help. @SparkfunSweden I would suggest to use the Processing sketches available in the FreeIMU library to check the correctness of your setup. ...

hey thanks for using my FreeIMU library. The solution to your problem is at http://www.varesano.net/blog/fabio/updating-arduino-10-apis-and-improvements .. Version 1 of the board should be fine for you.. next version of the library will include support for Sparkfun boards, so stay tuned. Good luck w...

Sure they will get into! ;-) One of FreeIMU lib users wrote a very interesting Processing app to visualize the values coming from the magnetometer into a 3D sphere.. the code also has some rough calibration routine. It would be awesome if someone could improve that calibration routine implementing s...

Re: 9dof Sensor stick - HMC5843 I2C Problem!

Yeah, unfortunately the HMC5843 is quite difficult to solder.. the HMC5883L it's even more difficult.. everyone using those sensors had these problems, no matters if using hot air & pizza oven (like myself) or fancy pick & place machines like the guys at sparkfun. Hopefully, one year after reporting...

Di you guys notice that the 6DOF digital has 4.7K Ohm pullups resistors on the PCB? You won't need any external resistor, just connect it to Arduino SDA and SCL and give it 3V3 and GND and you should be connected.

@David I mean this:

I guess I should mention that a fixed amount of charge (approximately) is being transferred from this capacitor to the 0.22uF set/reset capacitor. Voltage drop with the reference design values of 4.7uF and 0.22uF is about 154mV.
