Re: Xbee and Arduino without a level converter

I'm using a atmega328 with Arduino UNO bootloader in a standalone configuration on a perfboard. I power up my circuit with 12VDC and then I use a voltage regulator which outputs 5VDC for the atmega328 and another voltage regulator which outputs 3.3V for the xbee module. So I think I have to use the ...

Re: Xbee and Arduino without a level converter

Thank you a lot for your reply.
So, do you think I can successfully use the level converter (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8745) to convert 5V signals to 3.3V signals?

I didn't understand if the level converter which I posted in my first post should be ok or not :)

Xbee and Arduino without a level converter

I have to connect my Xbee module to my Arduino standalone board and I'd like to know if i have to convert Rx and Tx arduino level to 3.3V if it is not necessary. I've already bought from sparkfun some modules like these: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8745 but then I've seen on "Building wireless ...

Re: Rotary Encoder and Arduino UNO

Thanks a lot for your help!

Your suggestion is very good and simple to implement! I'll proceed in this way :)

Help for zigbee wiring on Arduino

I've bought two zigbee modules from sparkfun: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8665 and I want to connect these modules to my Arduino boards without using the shield. Do I only need to connect VCC, GND, RX and TX pins which are present on the zigbee modules to my Arduinos or do I have to connect any...

Re: Rotary Encoder and Arduino UNO

I solved it!

I was looking for the second channel wire as specified in the product page on sparkfun but then i've read the comments and I realized that I have to use just the wire for channel A.

Now it works very well. Thanks!

Re: Rotary Encoder and Arduino UNO

Can't I use it to check speed on a wheel which turns only in one direction, so? :(

Rotary Encoder and Arduino UNO

I've bought this encoder from sparkfun website: http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10790 but i'm having some problems to make it work since the datasheet is not very clear. Can you help me to understand how to connect this encoder to my Arduino board, please? Is there any sample sketch to use in order...

Re: FT232RL Solder Jumper Picture

I'm reading this post since I'd like to use this device with 5V and I'd like to know if I just have to unsolder the jumper and then to connect the pin 15 to a 5V power regulator or if I have to do something else. Unfortunately, I'm not able to see the picture attached to the first post. Do I have to...

Re: DGPS with Arduino

Thank you for your suggestion! Can you explain me something more about the WAAS system, please? I read that it has a best accurancy than the DGPS, so I think it should be better to use it. Should I have to but two WAAS gps (like the one you suggested on sparkfun) and than I have to mount one on my m...

Re: DGPS with Arduino

I've found this sensor:
http://www.sparkfun.com/products/163

Do you think it can work with Arduino?

I've read from the datasheet that when it is set to differential mode, it directly provides differential data, so I only have to read the data, I think. Is this correct?

DGPS with Arduino

I'd like to try to use DGPS in order to locate my mobile robot (which can randomly move in a wide area, outdoor) and to let him return to a fixed position when I send him a specified command. Is this possible with Arduino? I've read something about the DGPS, but I didn't understand if I have to setu...

Re: Rf Link Transmitter with antenna wire

Yep, there is no documentation about this stuff and I do not know the reason! :(

I'm very interested in this kind of devices and I would like to found someone which can help me to better understand..

Re: Rf Link Transmitter with antenna wire

Where can I get more info about this kind of devices?

I'd like to study how dog fence system work in order to know how to build a circuit with the same features.

I searched on google for schematics or theory but I've found nothing :(
