Here is an update Things to do: Add silkscreening Modify the MLP package to add a GND pad in the center. Get Sparkfun's DRC accept the schematic :( right now its saying the QFN pad spacing is violating the 8mil width rule, but I'm pretty sure its not since I made the MLF pads thinner (but still >8mi...

LED Ring Schematic (HALP!!!)

Do any of you experienced PCB layout makers have any suggestions for building this part? I broke the orientation rule for placing one of the TLC5940 since I think it will make running traces a lot easier. The Atmega 168 is a QFN package (the other SMD ones are unavailable at both digikey and mouser)...

Ah, thanks I didn't see those. That cluster of vias on the LED board is the product of autoroute. That group of connections they interface cross over a lot so I was lazy and let the autorouter do the work:).... I should be able to change the via-via minimum clearance and get a better result though r...

Thanks for those suggestions, here is the update based on what you said.

I've attached the control board and LED board now ;)

EDIT: Just realized that there is a dedicated PCB design subforum. Could a mod please move this thread? Hi, I want to build a TLC5940 interface board so that I can control 32 LEDs independently via PWM using 5 signal wires. I have read the TLC5940 datasheet and plan to emulate the circuit pictured i...
