Re: WiFly Shield Compatibility w/ Arduino Mega

EricAnderson wrote:My question is, with having pins 3-12 in use, what kind of trouble am I looking at in getting a UART connection to the WiFly setup?
If you're using the UART connection on the WiFly breakout board you should be able to use hardware serial on pins 0 & 1 or software serial on 2 & 13 perhaps?

Re: Newbie help with microSD Shield

I have the Sparkfun shield (DEV-098 2). It only runs with the sdFat library from Sparkfun. The Arduino 0022 SD library doesn't work even with the pinMode(10, OUTPUT); statement. It should work if you change the SD code examples to use: SD.begin(8) Ignore the product description that talks about the...

Re: Newbie help with microSD Shield

Are you using Arduino version 0022 which includes the new "SD" library? <http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/SD>

Re: WiFly shield with Fez Domino

My passphrase is a succession of ten decimals digits (for exemple 0123456789) without any space or dollar sign (yes, poor password but why not ?). The passphrase is correctly displayed when I send "get wlan" I was going to say that some versions of the firmware treat any value starting with a "0" a...

I hope that lesson was "go it alone first, then ask". :D

Re: WiFly shield with Fez Domino

Thank's for your answer, I have tried with save + reboot and without save and reboot, result is the same. I have checked with "get wlan", passphrase is correct. Does your passphrase have spaces or dollar signs in it? I have seen somewhere in the forum: "WPA requires you to edit the join method, cha...

Re: How do I respond to an HTTP request with a WiFly board?

GPIO-6 used to represent the connection status. Interesting, I hadn't noticed that functionality previously. Have you used this with a bare WiFly module (as opposed to the Arduino Shield)? I'm curious if this only works for the "HTTP" functionality built into the module or if it also works for manu...

Or is there a better way of doing it.
Is this connected to an Arduino or some other system?

Lol, from the description it sounds like you're looking for Fritzing.

Good luck with your submarine. :)

Re: WiFly - Alpha 2 Library - Hangs...

1st if I uncomment all the "Option" lines the WiFly shield hangs and the green LED stays solid until I close the web browser. This is most likely because you're running out of RAM due to all the text. I suggest you look into using PROGMEM to store the text. Also, rather than repeating the HTML tags...

Re: start up the rn131-g wifly module

is it important that the head of the module (where the antenna is) is not mounted on the board? Check out page 6 onwards in the datasheet: http://www.rovingnetworks.com/Docs/WiFly-RN-131-DS.pdf (From http://www.rovingnetworks.com/wifly-gsx.php) These two sections seem relevant: When integrating the...

You either need to not reboot or (I think) save the configuration before rebooting.

I assume the authentication is failing because the passphrase is being unset on reboot.

Re: How to get rid of *HELLO* message with WiFly

Every time WiFly sends something out, it prepends *HELLO*. How do I get rid of it? While your question has been answered, if you're using an Arduino (or--with some hand waving--another AVR-based chip) you might like to look at the WiFly Shield code library alpha 2 release which handles this and oth...
