I got the whole thing sorted out a while back...

and have my project running. (captive portal with 'GUI' that posts to itself and handles and data/commands, and send it out to an Arduino Pro-Micro that (acting as a USB HID device does the matching keyboard/mouse action)

from what I know... you'd need a USB Host shield just to talk with the USB/flash drive... (thats roughly $20+ right there!)

I think the Adafruit WaveShield has a library that records audio... but I think it saves to a SD card instead...(and even then I'm not sure how much you can record in one go!)

More info wold be needed to even BEGIN to answer. 1.) Are you talking about a specific PCB design software? Eagle? 2.) To help target a direct response, perhaps ask about what a specific layer name means/is used for.. instead of asking for ALL descriptions. For eagle. I dont even know what ALL of th...

Do they have the Pro Micro in there as well? (at work currently so cant check)

I am looking for the same thing for an HC-05 Bluetooth device as well.. (the whole 'board' as a drop in on a PCB like it was an IC.. I have seen others do this on the pcb's)

Do you have a 'bare bones' (minimal) 32u4 schematic you are following?

I have made several Arduino (and variants) using the ATMega328 chips.. but only 'purchased' Pro-Micros.. (never made my own yet)
