Re: STLINK and JTAG on Cortex M4F

Weird. It almost sounds as if your STLiNK v2 ISOL has subtle issues. The code in your STM32F407 is not re-purposing the TDI or JNTRST pins?

Re: Altera SocKit

I don't know anything about the SocKit. 0.8.0 includes altera_sockit.cfg in scripts/board: # # Cyclone V SocKit board # http://www.altera.com/b/arrow-sockit.html # # Software support page: # http://www.rocketboards.org/ # openocd does not currently support the on-board USB Blaster II. # Install the ...

Re: STLINK2+SWD, OpenOCD 0.8, programming

The (telnet) sequence that works reliably for me on the Discovery boards is

Code: Select all

reset halt
flash write_image erase path/to-hexfile 0 ihex
With that said, I don't actually have an F10x Discovery board. I'll try to use one of those boards to program a F10x and report back.

Re: JTAG TIAO TUMPA (to Ar9331 m150 wifi module)

Hi Mr. Packet, apologies for the belated response. You should proably repost this in the openocd section . Not sure if I've had openocd fail to respond on telnet. Quite rare anyways. I'm not familiar with any of your hardware but the top hit in my search for "ar9331 openocd" has a .cfg with a modera...

Re: LED and Push button problems in LPC 2119

Hello karlwr, I dug out my LPC-P2148 ** to check your example. I checked it first by having the LEDs opposite, then both the same . In each case everything worked exactly as we would expect. So I'm guessing you have what I'll call a "toolchain" problem. The LEDs and button(s) are connected to differ...

Re: Intel Quark+Eclipse+Olimex+Userspace Linux

Hello Dallas, Feel free to ignore this. I haven't the foggiest what you're doing, so I can't help and shouldn't respond. But my curiosity has gotten the better of me. When I read your post I get the impression that the Quark is intended to be the target. You say the hardware is mostly working, so I ...

Re: OpenOCD V0.8.0, mbed LPC1768, cmsis-dap - problems

Hi Steve, That program counter just after the mon reset halt looks like trouble. I have an LPC1768 board that I've pretty much set aside after endless frustration trying to get openOCD and/or GDB to sync up after reset. The fact that the bootloader always runs complicates things. IMO if you're using...

Re: ARM Cortex A9 and A15

I see imx6.cfg, omap4430.cfg, and omap4460.cfg in scripts/target, plus ti_pandaboard.cfg in scripts/board. I personally would have no idea how to adapt one of those scripts for a different A9 device...

Re: ARM-JTAG-SWD from Olimex

JTAG-SWD: I don't think openocd supports this yet. ARM-USB-OCD-H: The Windows version from Freddie Chopin's site has support for the ARM-USB-OCD_H compiled in. If you're building from source, look at the output of configure --help, and then at the Debug Adapter Hardware and Debug Adapter Configurati...

Re: ST Nucleo F4 OpenOCD "init mode failed"

Sounds like you have an actual hardware failure. Which means I should post my results in a separate thread. OTOH there isn't really enough info to justify a separate thread. My "invesigation" was roughly as follows: connected Nucleo back to XP laptop. Virtual drive and ST dongle detected. Not sure a...

Re: OpenOCD OSX brew install - no stlink support?

Hello holobeat.

I don't know anything about OSX brew. On a standard linux install you select stlink during configure. On those systems ./configure --help will show you the options you need to pass to ./configure

Re: ST Nucleo F4 OpenOCD "init mode failed"

I also have a NucleoF401 and now I'm seeing similar symptoms. Too tired to post details tonight. The overall sequence was something like: 1. Updated ST-Link V/2-1 using the windows utility because I could only mount the virtual drive as root in Ubuntu. 2. Wound up going back to Fedora anyway. 3. ST-...

Re: Troubles while building OpenOCD0.8.0 on ubuntu 14.04

Hello astrodreamer, did you solve this yet?

I've not built OpenOCD on Ubuntu yet, but on my (ARM) Ubuntu system there is a libusb-1.0-0.dev available as well as libusb.dev. You might check whether you have something similar on the amd64 platform.

Re: openocd on exynos

Hi te0543,

I have a couple of the Odroid boards from Hardkernel. I'm curious what sort of hardware you're using?

I can't really help with openOCD for exynos - that is a MUCH more complex system than anything I've looked at.

But you might try

Code: Select all

monitor reset halt
monitor poll
