LCD project box

Hey all.

I am looking for a project box to house ONLY a standard 16x2 serial enabled LCD. It is going to be stuck to a desk and cabled out to the control unit below. I am looking for a nice compact enclosure with a display cutout and slanted front (preferably).
Any recommendations?

thanks

Solar powered sign

Hey everybody. I am working on a metal sign right now for my company and it will be set off from a backing board. I would love to throw some LED light strips behind the metal to shine on the backing board (bright green). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me on the control unit. The sign w...

Traffic Cam

Hey all, I have been reading some posts about the GPRS unit and camera, but not a ton of success stories. I have property near a major highway connector that to this point is entirely unmonitored. I would love to set up a GPRS webcam for all my fellow cummuters to view online. Are there other units ...

LM317

I am expecting a no answer to this question, but a yes would definately make my life easier. I am using a LM317 voltage regulator to supply voltage to an LED driver, which is getting a PWM signal from a 16F737 and driving the LED based on the PWM. My question is, instead of putting the LM317 before ...

I am using the 16F877A. These files will drive all pins on the PIC high/low alternating every second (designed for 20MHz operation). If you've get an LED hooked up correctly to any pin, it should blink. I assumed that this was referring to the internal 20mhz RC and if you hook up an LED it should bl...

Transceiver or IR?

I am putting together a remote control that requires feedback from the unit for the LCD display. Should I use a bidirectional set of IR's or a set of transceivers?

which is easier to program, which is more reliable, yada yada?

chip programs and verifies both in IC-PROG and WINPIC. I have regulated 5v powering the chip, power tests ok, ground tests ok, the MCLR is pulled up by a 4.7k, and that pin tests ok for power. Every other pin gives me nothing, ~ 0.3v. I have 1 decoupling cap in the power line, its new, so I dont rea...
