Re: Array code doesn't seem to work... (16F506)

Thanks for the pointers, looks like I have some more reading to do - I doubt that the multiple orgs have much effect, but they're there because the test code has morphed from one example to another. I've set the org properly and the problem persists. More investigation into banksel now.

Cheers

Array code doesn't seem to work... (16F506)

I've never fiddled with PICs before, but have a need to write a moving average filter for one of the 16F506's ADC channels, so I started messing with the FSR and INDF registers, but never got any sort of result that I wanted. So I wrote a bit of test code (listed below) which would write a descendin...

Re: Google ADK/ADS non-Arduino Mega2560

Apart from the workload - what is to stop someone porting the ADK to an Olimex board or what ever board we wish?

Re: Google ADK/ADS non-Arduino Mega2560

I'm surprised there isn't any traffic here about the Google I/O announcements around an Arduino clone. http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/adk.html Perhaps I'm just searching badly. I found your post by searching here for the Android@Home which I'm trying to find more information on, I th...

OpenOCD 0.4.0+Eclipse CDT

I have set up Yagarto and am compiling files all fine and well. To flash the binaries to the board I've setup a program script in my Makefile and the flashes nicely. After various issues with the Zylin plug-in (I was following the Jim Lynch - rev C guide) I removed it and installed the CDT and set i...

Re: AT91SAM7S with Olimex ARM-USB-OCD

I take it that you're trying to flash the MCU with this script? I've done a much stripped down version that appears to have worked all this weekend: proc program_device () { halt wait_halt arm7_9 dcc_downloads enable sleep 10 poll flash probe 0 flash write_image erase unlock "main.bin" 0x00100000 sl...

Re: Can't get ARM-USB-TINY-H to work, no way, no how

I had all sorts of misery with the FTDI drivers on Windows 7. Where did you get the drivers that you're using from? In the end I had to use the info from here: http://www.olimex.com/dev/pdf/ARM/JTAG/Repair%20Procedure%20for%20OpenOcd-Rev.%20G%20drivers.pdf To remove the drivers (you will need to use...

Re: Power Supply - Can It Be Done ?

How about -5 from one of these: http://chipcatalog.com/Maxim_Integrated_Products/MAX764CPA%2B.htm Feed it with +5V out the back of your 7805 and you'll have +5v & -5v with a common ground. I used a DC-DC converter that produced both +&-5 but it was a little pricey and I cant find the details of it n...

Re: 5V consistency

That pack should be able to provide close to ten hours worth of power supply.
Have you got large enough caps eitherside of your voltage regulator?

Re: Datalogging with Logomatic V2 - Multiple Sources

I'd like to read sensors with a voltage of 5v, but the VREF (pin63) on the LPC is connected to VCC (regulated at 3.3v). Meaning I'll either have to use a Potential divider to pull the voltages within limits, or see if its possible to modify the board (might be possible as the pin has a through hole ...

If you just want to count RPM speed that will work to an extent.
If you want greater accuracy then you need to work with something like the LM1815 which will generate interupts for you to time.
